Will The American Anime Industry Die In 2008?

Do you think we will see the American Anime Industry collapse altogether this year? Let me know if you think we will or if you think we won't. Also give your reasons why you think it will collapse or if you think it won't collapse give your reasons why as well.

I got the idea for this question after reading this article by Patrick Macias.

While I could see the industry taking a dive, I can't imagine it collapsing all together in the course of just this year.

Basically, I think the size of the industry and the size of the fanbase have grown too large that it's hard to imagine it collapsing just like that.

and there are still many of us out there who will keep buying
i dont want to even think about how much of my money bandai got from the haruhi box set stuff
and now lucky star @_@

i shall never have money again
